Sushi display near the entrance
O Sushi ... I Love sushi ... and my whole family love sushi as well. We were planning to go to Makato on Victoria Ave in Chatswood for lunch on a Sat. Unfortunately, Makato is closed for renovation until the end of March. So we headed down to Ozeki Sushi at Chatswood Chase. Usually, this place is pretty quite, but the temporary closure of Makato is giving this little sushi train restaurant a busy time.
We have also ordered the crumbed chicken cutlet udon and the tempura udon. The soup was nice and hot, and the udon has a lightly chewy texture. Chicken cutlet is meaty and still have a little bit of crunch. On the other hand, the tempura have been soaked in the soup for too long, they were very soggy and by the time they arrrived on our table, the coating were falling off from the prawns.
Sushi were quite fresh, but the varriety is limited ... we always see the same sushi go pass on the belt. I still prefer the large variety at Makato. But until Makoto reopens, Ozeki Sushi can be your quick fix of sushi craving.
