Jin Yan

Jin Yan Chinese Restaurant, Castle Hill RSL CLub

For Sunday family lunch this week, we went to Jin Yan located inside Castle Hill RSL Club for yum cha.  I have not been to yum cha for a while, so I was quite excited on this morning. Jin Yan is fairly new Chinese restaurant only opened it's door in May 2010 ,serving yum cha at lunch time and cantonese food for dinner. We arrived there at 12.30 pm and there's already a small crowd queuing at the entrance. The decor is modern with a traditional Chinese twist; little red lanterns are hanging down from the celling through out the restaurant. Both food and service were avearge, but ambience were good.

"Harm Sui Kok" - Combination fried dumplings, "Har Cheong" - Steam rice rolls with prawns

"Chiu Chow Fun Guo" - Chiu Chow style steam dumplings, "Bor Choi Gow" - Spinach dumplings

"Saan Juk Ou Yuk" - Beef balls, "Sin Juk Gyun" - Steam bean curd wraps

"Jar Leung" - Deep fried chinese bread sticks wrapped with steam rice sheet, "Fung Jaau" - Chicken feet

"Cha Siu Bau" - Steam BBQ pork bun, "Chun Gyun"- Spring rolls

"Ma Lai Go" - Steam sponge cake, "Dau Fu Fa" - Sweet tofu pudding
